LUBBOCK & THE SOUTH PLAINS LARGEST GIRLS FASTPITCH SOFTBALL LEAGUE

We wanted to share an important update with our LYS families and players.
The City of Lubbock will begin the turfing of the fields at the Tom Martin Youth Complex earlier than anticipated. As a result, the complex will be closed for the remainder of 2026.
Due to the closure, LYS is cancelling the 2026 Fall-Ball season for now. We are actively working with the City of Lubbock and exploring several alternative field options to try and make a fall season possible.
If there is any feasible way to offer our fall program, we will do everything we can to make it happen. We are very excited about the much-needed upgrades to the fields and appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding during this process.
If alternative options don’t work out, we look forward to welcoming everyone back to the newly updated Tom Martin Youth Complex in 2027!

Established over 50 years ago, our league is dedicated to fostering a fun, safe, and family-centered environment where young athletes of all skill levels can thrive.
Hosted at the Thomas A. Martin Complex, LYS is more than just a sports league—it is a community. We focus on building character, developing fundamental skills, and creating lifelong friendships under the bright lights of West Texas.
